1987 KAIYODO FRIDAY THE 13TH Jason Voorhees w/ Tom Savini SEVERED HEAD Model Kit VERY RARE
1ST ISSUE Day-Glo ORANGE VINYL Japanese GARAGE MODEL KIT
The Jason Model Kit (#???? out of a very limited production run) is © 1987 P.P.C. and was produced by Kaiyodo and made in Japan.
This is the very first officially licensed and produced figure for Jason Voorhees and was made for the Japanese market ONLY. (Instruction sheet states: Marketing Territory Japan.)
This kit is the first release which is molded in day-glo orange vinyl, whereas the second issue is molded in purple vinyl.
This high quality, fully detailed, garage kit, molded in day-glow orange vinyl, contains seven parts and measures approximately 12 1/2" tall when assembled.
This kit features Jason Voorhees, the homicidal killer from the Friday The 13th motion pictures, holding the severed head of Tom Savini (the man responsible for the film's outstanding special effects) in his left hand and in his outstretched right hand he is holding a machete. Although no machete came with this kit, included with the instruction sheet is a silver template so you can create your own.
The pattern for this kit was sculpted by ???? and the markings on the bottom of the feet read as follows: "T.M. & © 1987 P.P.C.".
The box measures 5 3/4" (H) x 8 3/4" (W) x 3 3/8" (D) and features an illustration by Tohl Narita.
This model kit is in excellent condition and 100% complete including the instruction sheet which is written in Japanese and the silver machete template.
The box is also in excellent condition and has NO split or repaired corners or litho tears.
This model kit originally released in 1987 is now long OUT OF PRINT and EXTREMELY RARE due to a very limited production run and marketing.
PLEASE NOTE: Seeing the kit is UNBUILT I located a picture online to show you what this model looks like assembled both before and after painting. You are purchasing an unbuilt kit in it's original shipping box. I do not have the painted built up.
