Description
For sale is a pair of model kits from the 1931 movie Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. In the Movie the main character was played by Fredric March who put in a great performance playing both roles. The movie was highly acclaimed at the time and lives on in legend within the Horror genre ,with the likes of Dracula,The Wolfman and all the monster movies. The 3D rendering was done by the Fabulous Pablo Venezuala and as you can see the facial detail and the clothing are top notch.
Beside the styrene kit from Moebius of Mr Hyde and maybe a few garage kits, I have never seen models of this caliber .
The models were printed using a 4K printer at 2.00 mm with priority resin to make the details pop and give a nice thickness to the model kit.
**Please be advised the kit does not come with a base ,just 2 separate name plates**
This will be a very limited release, or at least there will be other offering without the cape included, the resin used was too much and I like to keep the price as low as possible for the collector.
If interested in Mr Hyde without the cape ,reach out to me and we can work something out.
These 2 kits will be a great addition to anyone that collects the Monster Genre of models.
Disclaimer
:
This is a 3D resin print. It will have like all materials in making models slight imperfections. These imperfections does not mar the model in anyway and with the knowledge of modeling can be worked out of the kit.
A big percentage of the models are hollowed out, that are what the drain holes are for and some pieces can be solid also. The drain holes can be puttied in and sanded to match.
The models are printed no less than 2mm walls so they are thick
All models go thru a post-production process with sanding and using fillers for any defect that can be found, sometimes they can get over looked. I try to put in your hands a model that is ready to prime and paint.
Color of resin and filament may vary
Anytime you want a tighter fit, the resin part can be heated up with hot water or a hair dryer and it will make it easier to take a better shape. Just don’t overdo it.
Working with FDM
Filament is a plastic substance that prints in lines and build up the 3D print. In order to fill some of the visible lines, a filler needs to be used, like wood filler or any Substitute primed and Sanded. I have heard that Badger makes a 2 part primer that works very well and from Smooth On a product called XTC which is an epoxie overlay.
If you are not comfortable going through these steps, maybe this model is not for you.
